When it comes to nude shades, I think you can see a theme here. I generally don’t go for very pale nudes as they can really make you look dead, especially in the Fall /Winter. I usually gravitate towards rosey nude shades. They look very sophisticated on the lips and they are really flattering on everyone, giving you that my lips but better look. For all the shades swatched below, I use Mac Soar Lip Liner which is also beautiful on its own. At the moment I am using a lot the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 104, a matte shade. I love pairing it with cool toned neutral eye looks. Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Blush is a fantastic nude shade as well.

Another color family that I love are berry hues. I tend to use these shades whenever I don’t feel like wearing a plain nude and I want a little bit of color without taking away attention from the eyes. These are the classic colors I usually pair with Nars Sin Blush and a taupey grey eye shadow look. Plummy Shades

Plummy shades are a further weakness in my Fall lipstick wardrobe. I absolutely love a darker lip and I am not shy to go all the way to the end of the spectrum using something like Avon Deep Orchid on a night out. My staple plummy lipsticks are Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate in 107 for a matte intense option and Chanel Rouge Coco in 41 Destinée for a more neutral choice. I would never go without these.

When it comes to burgundies, Rimmel Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet and Bourjois Rouge Allure Velvet in Grand Cru are the winners. They have an incredible opacity and they leave a beautiful stain once they fade out. For reds, I love Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 01 for the classic red lip look and Love that Pink for a brighter and pinky-er option. I adore pairing all of these lipsticks with a classic winged out liner look.
